Mr. Hansen is a Certified Public Accountant serving as the Chief Financial Officer of BMC Investments and its property management affiliate BLDG Management. Mr. Hansen began his career at Ernst & Young, a public accounting firm, working in the audit and transaction services divisions. After leaving Ernst & Young, he gained extensive real estate experience at a Denver-based private equity company, Alliance Commercial Partners, focusing primarily on value-add commercial real estate. Mr. Hansen had several responsibilities during his tenure there, including fund accounting, financial modeling, and asset management which entailed managing a $25 million office space portfolio in Florida and overseeing an $8 million multi-family condo conversion project in Dallas, Texas. Since Alliance, he has held several roles for Fortune 500 companies based in Colorado, including mergers and acquisition at Crop Production Services (CPS) and financial operations manager at Arrow Electronics. At Arrow, Mr. Hansen was the financial operations manager and responsible for a $1 billion division within Arrow. He attended the University of Denver, obtaining a B.S. in accounting and MBA with an emphasis in leadership, while playing for the DU basketball team. Mr. Hansen is a licensed broker in the State of Colorado and serves as a board member of the Denver Achievement Academy, which partnered with the Denver Athletic Club and dedicated to after school programs for at-risk youth.
