Doug Smith serves as the Senior Vice President of Development for BMC. Mr. Smith has over 25 years of real estate and construction experience. His development and construction management portfolio consists of projects totaling more than $1.0B . He is known for his collaborative team building efforts, extensive knowledge of construction and passion for the industry. Prior to joining BMC, Doug spent 6 years at Formativ Development as SVP of Development.

Earlier in his career he spent time with Mortenson Construction, The Opus Group and Brinkman Construction. Doug has a strong background in commercial, residential and hospitality projects throughout Colorado and the Midwest. Doug is originally from Pittsburgh and graduated Penn State University with a B.S. in Construction Management.
